Outpatient & Casualty

Round-the-clock assessment, triage, consultation and rapid emergency response.

Patients are received through a clear triage flow, assessed by clinical officers and doctors, and guided to treatment, observation, lab testing, imaging or admission when needed. The casualty area is positioned near the entrance for easier emergency access and is supported with oxygen, suction equipment and emergency trolley readiness.

Renal & Dialysis Unit

Specialized kidney care, dialysis and chronic disease support.

The renal unit supports patients managing kidney disease, diabetes and hypertension. The dialysis service has five dedicated beds, is managed by trained renal nurses, and runs from 5:00am to 7:00pm, Monday to Saturday, with individualized care plans for every patient.

Maternity & MCH

Antenatal care, immunization, growth monitoring and maternity support.

The maternal and child health unit provides antenatal follow-up, laboratory and ultrasound coordination, child growth monitoring, immunizations and follow-up care for mothers and babies requiring additional review.

Laboratory Services

Routine tests for outpatient and inpatient clinical decisions.

The lab supports hematology, blood chemistry, parasitology, urinalysis, blood grouping, cross matching, HIV testing and other essential assessments, helping doctors make faster and safer treatment decisions.

Imaging & Radiology

X-ray and ultrasound services with referral support for advanced scans.

Shifah provides X-ray and ultrasound services on-site. For CT and MRI needs, patients are referred through partner facilities, helping maintain continuity of care when advanced imaging is required.

Theatre & Surgical Care

Minor and major theatre services supported by resident and visiting doctors.

The theatre supports general surgical procedures, minor procedures and specialist surgeries handled by resident and visiting clinicians. Patients are prepared, reviewed and followed up through a coordinated clinical pathway.

Inpatient Wards

Male, female, paediatric, maternity and observation care.

The facility has dedicated ward capacity for male medical, female medical, paediatric, maternity, labour, observation, casualty and dialysis care, supported by daily clinical reviews and nursing supervision.

Physiotherapy & Dietetics

Rehabilitation, mobility support and nutrition care.

Physiotherapy focuses on recovery after fractures, stroke care, chest physiotherapy and mobility support. Dietetic services support diabetes management, malnutrition care and nutritional education for both inpatients and outpatients.

Counselling & Wellness

Mental wellness support for individuals, children and families.

The counselling clinic supports people dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship concerns, family issues and child therapy needs, reflecting the hospital’s roots in community wellness.
